Adding Knob to Keychron Q1 | Silicone, IXPE Foam & Force Break Mod | Barebones Unboxing | Sound Test

So, I managed to get my hands on the Keychron Q1 after following its progress for a few months. I purchased the barebones kit immediately after the pre-order launched and received it on the first week of October 2021. Everyone knew the Keychron Q1 requires some modifications to improve its sound and I thought it would be fun to give it a shot. Additionally, I added a rotary encoder to the board just to give it an extra spin. Prior to the launch, the Keychron team took note of the hollow and pingy sound from the Q1 an decided to include an extra layer of case foam but it reduced the flex by a lot. So, I decided to replace both case foams with silicone rubber which will achieve similar, if not better, results without sacrificing flex. A piece of A4 paper was placed on top of silicone rubber because it was slightly sticky after it cured. This prevented the PCB from directly touching the silicone rubber when flexing.
