Solar Impulse finally took off for Nanjing after a delay of two weeks due to bad meteorological conditions. Bertrand Piccard replaced André Borschberg at the controls of Si2, for the sixth and last leg before crossing the Pacific, as he was in Switzerland recovering from the shingles! Soon after takeoff, Si2 went through turbulences. ATC gave the green light for Bertrand to climb up to 14,000 feet, which is higher than planned. The flight was of 1,241km and lasted 17:22 hours cumulating to a RTW completion
