Today I’m sharing the Ajvar recipe - traditional Serbian roasted red pepper and eggplant sauce is perfect as a bread spread and even as a side dish. 🥘Ingredients: red bell pepper - 1.5 kg eggplant - 0.5 kg salt - 2 tsp (or to taste) sugar - 1 tsp black pepper - ½ tsp (or to taste) red hot chili flakes - 1/3 tsp (optional) paprika - ½ tsp (optional) garlic - 2 cloves lemon juice - 1 tbsp sunflower oil - 80 ml 📝Instructions: ▪️ Preheat the oven to 220°C ▪️ On a baking tray roast the peppers and eggplants for about 30 minutes until the skin is a bit charred ▪️ Turn the vegetables around and bake for another 30 minutes ▪️ Remove the veggies from the oven, transfer to a large bowl ▪️ Cover the bowl with plastic wrap to let the veggies steam and cool for 20-30 minutes ▪️ Peel the skins and remove the pepper seeds ▪️ Transf
