Elderly man trapped under runaway car, saved by passersby

An elderly man was trapped underneath a runaway car after the vehicle’s owner failed to apply the handbrake in Yichang city, Hubei Province on June 21. The car travelled backwards across a main road before striking the gentleman, who was relaxing in a chair on the roadside. The vehicle then stopped with the man beneath its chassis, but luckily several passersby were on hand to lift the car away from the old man.
