(Mazzy Star's) David Roback - On the Way Home (Neil Young cover) - from Rainy Day album, 1984

David is best known as one half of the creative partnership with Hope Sandoval: Mazzy Star. Here, David plays guitar and sings this 1960s Neil Young penned Buffalo Springfield cover. It's taken from a 1984 album called Rainy Day, by Rainy Day, which was David Roback plus musician friends from L.A.'s “Paisley Underground.“ It was David's project and is an album of covers, all but one from the 1960s. Neil Young is the only artist who ended up with more than one cover of their songs on the album. This is one of two songs on the album David sings.
