New Land Speed Record (1938)

Titles read: “NEW LAND SPEED RECORD“. Salt Lake, Utah, United States of America. Various shots of John Cobb and his team preparing his car for an attempt on the Land Speed Record. Commentator tells us George Eyston has pushed the record up to 345 miles an hour. Cobb walks along a small gangway sticking out over his car to get into the ’cockpit’ and the cover of the car is screwed down over his head. Several shots of Cobb driving along in the streamlined car in his attempt on the record. He reaches more than 350 miles an hour. Note: there seems to be a section missing from the end of this item.
