Only 311 buyers opted for this expensive engine option, hence the rarity. This grossly-underrated big block engine was very similar to the 425HP 396 offered in 1965. Bred for racing, these engines featured 11:1 compression, forged internals, a solid lift valvetrain, and special Winter’s casted rectangle-port aluminum cylinder heads, aluminum inta
