You will see that one effect is most of the time the result of many different steps. So the final result of this tutorial is a ghost that is appearing and vanishing in the woods. But this is made up of the following: Shooting a master footage plate Shooting a clean-plate Shooting light references Setting up a studio for face capture as well as additional assets Creating a look out of real footage Adding cg and still images to create a monster or ghost Rendering Using the asset to drive some auxiliary animations such as electricity, glow and shine (godrays) As a bonus you will learn how to create an energy burst in 3 different ways. With footage, within the comp (here you will also learn how to use the new learned effects to create different visual effects) and with a software called Particle Illusion. You will also learn how to create the final vanish effect with the flo motion effect. In addition you will learn a lot of compositing tips and tricks; for example how to use a slider to animate multiple layers at once, how to retime or how to create an interactive lighting with a glow effect. All of this will be explained in an easy to understand way with a lot of examples and an easy structure
