In this South American spider species, males capture a prey and construct a prey-gift by wrapping the prey with silk. Then, in order to mate, males offer the gifts to females. While the female feeds on the prey, the female and the male mate. Using his pedipalps, the male transfer sperm to the female (sperm transfer occurs when the male mounts the female).
