Last week brought news that the Polish government was pulling back from its military support for Ukraine, and now another of Ukraine’s neighbors, Slovakia, has elected a leftist government with a leader who ran on a pledge to stop supporting Ukraine in its war with Russia. The European dominoes are falling, and it’s only a matter of time before more countries determine that unconditional support for this losing effort is pointless.
