The intensity of the crowd during the men’s 109kg session at the Euorpean Weightlifting Championships 2023 gives us a glimpse as to the true potential of weightlifting. The chanting, cheering and energy that the crowd brought with it helped empower the weightlifters to place, in many cases, personal records overhead.
