“North of 70” people were killed in Kentucky, according to the state’s governor, after tornadoes tore through at least six states on Dec. 10 to 11. Authorities in Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri and Tennessee were working to confirm the number of fatalities amid the rubble Saturday morning. At least two people in Arkansas, three in Tennessee and two in Illinois died, but officials said the count would rise. In addition to the candle factory, officials said, two other buildings were severely damaged — an Amazon distribution warehouse in Edwardsville, Ill., and a nursing home in Monette, Ark.
