#itfollows #horror #movies It Follows (2014) is one of the creepiest horror movies of the previous decade. In particular the scene with the old lady. The premise of the movie is simple yet effective. The acting is rather restrained, which adds to the unsettling atmosphere. Especially the first 30 minutes of the movies are relatively slow-paced. Ok, there is this girl called Jay. She was intimate with this no-good dude. And now there is some demon following her. Really, is that it? Or is there no demon and is this dude just having mental issues? Or is he pulling some crazy prank on Jay? Only until we are 30 minutes into the movie, we can really start to appreciate the mess this girl is in. And that moment unfolds in the scene with the old lady. As of then, the girl and the viewer know, that this is some serious cr#p and that she is going to need to carefully consider her every move in order to stay alive.
