The Mass in B minor (BWV 232) is a sacred music composition written by Johann Sebastian Bach. As the name itself explains, it is the musical transposition of the Mass into the usual Latin language of the Catholic rite, what is called sung mass. Some parts of the Mass in B minor date back to 1724, however the ensemble was completed in its present form in 1749, the year before the composer's death in 1750.
