A Comparative Study with Sculptures from other Coincident Cultures The Nabataean civilization is considered one of the eastern civilizations that has been greatly influenced by the Greco-Roman civilizations, and because the Nabataean region is located in an intermediate position between the western civilizations and the eastern civilizations, it was affected by eastern civilizations as well. The Nabataeans produced a large group of sculptures that have different characteristics belonging to several schools of art. This study is an attempt to present the different styles of Nabataean sculptural art, through which we may have been able to understand the main characters of the Nabatean local school of art, and how it played a role in refining the identity of Nabataean sculptures.
