Courtesy of the Clark Santee archives, a fascinating slice of music history from the end of the 1960’s with rock’n’roll pioneer Bill Haley letting his band loose on a stomping instrumental, with excellent solos all round. Bill Haley wasn’t young when he first topped charts in 1955 with Rock Around The Clock, and some 15 years later Haley’s musical performances had not changed one iota with prevailing fashions. Looking back some 55 years on from this performance, respect is due for this mighty combo led by the one and only Bill Haley, absolutely nailing it by playing authentic rock’n’roll music.
