Today, we're diving into the exciting world of abstraction and texture, creating a unique piece that blends ruggedness with metallic sheen. We'll be using a special technique that involves adhering a sheet of aluminum foil to a canvas with Matte Medium, a substance that will allow us to create a fascinating wrinkled and metallic texture. This process will not only add a visually stimulating dimension to our work but will also play with light and shadow in unexpected ways, giving the piece a corroded yet incredibly attractive look. To paint over this unique texture, we'll be using both brushes and sponges, and I'll dare to use a mason's trowel palette knife to add even more character and depth to our work.
