And here's a new video! After three months of work on the video, it was finally finished. A lot of effort and time was spent, a lot of takes were filmed. That's just over 600 entries. There are many who have made efforts to create this video. Next, I'll tell you how it was, but first... What is this video about: In this video, the commander decided to take the helm of a warship for the first time. Before that, he flew only on expeditions but not on combat missions. The commander decided to test himself in everything. During this time, while he was preparing for his first battle, the commander found many new acquaintances and discoveries. History of creation: And so, let's start... It all started with the fact that I wanted to try myself in something new. Returning from another expedition, I wanted to shoot a combat video, but I did not have a suitable ship ready at that time. Upon arrival, I completed my warship all summer later (I flew to the Colonia for a spare parts, so I didn't finish it earlier). And I also bought a new monitor, now the video quality will be a little better :) I also want to say that the plot of the video is based on real events, that is, it really was my first serious combat experience. I've never been in a battle before. During the creation of the video, I met a lot of people, joined a lot of new communities and learned a lot about life in the Elite Dangerous world. Now about the filming process. A full-fledged film crew was created in discord. We had cameramen, sound engineers, and even stuntmen. There were 11 of us in total and everyone had their own roles. Only the shooting took 3 weeks (the fact that I had been assembling the ship for more than six months before and the fact that the preparation for filming was organized does not count). We gathered almost every day and shot for 3-5 hours. Some moments that take less than five seconds of screen time in the video were filmed for several hours. There were so many unsuccessful takes... (if you want, I can make an exclusive cut of how everything happened behind the scenes, there will be funny moments, and how many attempts it was filmed). As you may have noticed, the video is divided into three parts: Part 1. Space battles. The most difficult part of the video, which we shot for too long. There are moments in it that took a lot of attempts. We filmed the explosion of the Krait for more than an hour, and the departure of the fighter for about an hour and a half. Part 2. Foot battles. This part wasn't that difficult, but finding the right places and angles was still a challenge. Almost everything was shot very quickly. The only difficulties were during filming on the lime planet. Then we broke the instance, then we didn't do everything that was required, then the camera would be “dropped“ to me... We shot these fragments last, then everyone was already tired, but still we finished. Part 3. The battle with the Targoids. I think this is the easiest part in this video. The commanders from the GALACTIC XENOPHOBIC INITIATIVE [GXIN] squadron helped us a lot in the filming, for which I am very grateful to them. All the shots in the vortex were shot with their help. Filming in the third part did not go as smoothly as you might think. We got into a vortex only on the 5th-8th attempt. It was not so easy to cause a wave, and also the ship with the operator, that is, with me, were constantly trying to shoot down the targoids. As a result, the shooting came to an end and it was just up to me to glue it all together and polish it off. Thanks to all the participants of the filming process.
