In 2002, she won the Golden Conch at the Mumbai Film Festival with The Chinese Dog, which also took the award for the Best Belgian Short Film in Ghent. In 2005, her film Linda & Ali: Two Worlds Within Four Walls won the biennial award for the Best Belgian Documentary and was also nominated for a Golden Hugo at the Chicago International Film Festival.
