And this is, of course, where Boney M.'s phenomenal success started! Released May 31, 1976, Take The Heat Off Me was a fantastic debut album including the #1 singles Daddy Cool and Sunny, firmly propelling Boney M. into the disco era. The very first Boney M. single Baby Do You Wanna Bump had been released February 1975 and was a faceless studio project as producer Frank Farian had recorded all the vocals himself. When demand for performances in the discotheques arose, Farian decided there was no way he was suitable to perform it in front of an audience.
