I was a very curious piano student and as I went through my courses at the conservatory, I remember being fascinated by the sounds that came out of a room near a tall staircase in a high ceiling colonial house in Caracas. The sounds were coming from a Russian soprano, who used to teach there back in the mid 90s. I was absolutely amazed by the power and the beauty of her sound.
