The Penguins visited Climate Pledge Arena to take on the Seattle Kraken for the first time in franchise history. Pittsburgh wasted no time getting goals from Jeff Carter, Sidney Crosby, and Danton Heinen within the first five minutes of play in the first period. A goal from Eberle in the second would get the Kraken on the board but the Penguins continued to light it up with two goals coming from Jake Guentzel, who extended his point streak to 13 games, and another from Carter. Guentzel and Carter were two of six Penguins to tally multiple points on the night while Casey DeSmith earned his first win of the season as Pittsburgh routed Seattle, 6-1.
