A playthrough of Virgin's 1994 license-based platformer for the NES, Disney's Aladdin. Based on Shiny Entertainment's original Aladdin game for the Sega Genesis/MegaDrive, this PAL-only NES conversion provides similar yet inferior experience to that given by the Game Boy Aladdin cartridge played through a Super Game Boy adapter. The game was produced by NMS, who became fairly well known for games of exceedingly poor quality for the NES. They were also responsible for The Lion King and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade for the Game Boy and NES, and if you've seen either of those, you'll have a good idea of what to expect: the NES versions are all lazy, badly colorized ports of Game Boy games. It's hardly a surprise that this 8-bit take on the Sega Genesis masterpiece is missing stages, but the real deal-breakers here are the horrendous color schemes, the wonky collision detection, and the flicker that often completely obscures enemies.
