Merry Outlaw, curator of collections, with the Jamestown Rediscovery archaeological project, discusses the meaning and contents of a sealed silver box found in an early 17th-century grave at Jamestown, Virginia. The box, a reliquary, was discovered in the burial of Captain Gabriel Archer in the chancel of the colony's first church. While we could not open the box due to corrosion, we could see inside the box with state of the art Micro CT scan equipment. To learn more please visit https://historicjamestowne
