France will deliver Mirage 2000 fighter jets to Ukraine and conduct appropriate training for Ukrainian pilots as part of new military cooperation with Kyiv to counter the Russian invasion, announced French President Emmanuel Macron. According to him, it is proposed to train 4,500 Ukrainian military personnel. In an interview with TF1 and France 2 channels, Macron emphasized that the combat aircraft “will allow Ukraine to defend its land and airspace.“ However, the French president did not specify how many fighter jets are planned to be delivered. Former Royal Air Force pilot Jan Black, in an exclusive interview with Channel 24, commented on this news and discussed the advantages of French fighter jets over Russian planes and the already promised American F-16s for Ukraine.
