Wagner PMC mercenary leader Yevgeny Prigozhin has accused Russian military forces of mining roads in Bakhmut used by his fighters after a Russian commander was reportedly arrested after drunkenly shooting at PMCs sent to clear the mines. In response to questions raised by Russian media asking if he had proof to back his claims, Prigozhin released footage to his Telegram showing the questioning of Russian Lt. Col. Venevitin Hennadievich, who admitted to shooting at the PMCs out of “personal spite.” So far Russia’s Ministry of Defense has not commented on capture. The Freedom of Russia Legion, which has been responsible for the series of incursions into Belgorod, has offered to trade Russian POWs for the commander, posting their own videos in response.
