Named for Okinawan karate and kobudo master Shinyei Kyan, this kata is typically taught as a bridge between the basic and advanced forms of Yamanni-ryu saijutsu. The joge-buri (high-low swings) repeated in the sequence are the hallmark of this form. Variations of the typical kashira-zuki (pommel-end punch) are also demonstrated. Modified for performance.
