Today, we have the new Stockfish 15 NNUE (3770 elo) taking on Stockfish 8 (3489), the version of SF that infamously lost against Alpha Zero in 2017 & 2018. Let’s see just how much stronger Stockfish is today compared to it’s former self five years ago! 2017: the algorithm defeated Stockfish 8 in a time-controlled 100-game tournament (28 wins, 0 losses, and 72 draws) 2018: The updated AlphaZero crushed Stockfish 8 in a new 1,000-game match, scoring 155 wins, 6 losses, and 839 draws As far as we know, development of AlphaZero has been paused since 2018. Do you think SF15 would be able to defeat AlphaZero in a 1000 game match today? Thank you all so much for the support.
