The Royal Navy's flaship aircraft carrier, HMS Queen Elizabeth, deploys from Portsmouth for a European Carrier Strike Group operation. 🇬🇧 ⚓️ HMS Queen Elizabeth will lead the Carrier Strike Group of warships from multiple allied nations on Operation Archillean, with F35 Lightning IIs and Merlin helicopters on-board. The Carrier Strike Group will deploy to Northern Europe for NATO security operations and exercises, including patrols of the Baltic Sea. On departure from His Majesty's Naval Base Portsmouth, the Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carrier received an escort from Ministry of Defence Police. Tugs from Serco turned the ship around.
