What means “Eleven Songs“? The whole performance of the artist´s duo “tamtam“ (SAM AUINGER & HANNES STROBL) lasts 56 minutes and is divided in eleven peaces, the so called “Songs“. These “songs“ are pieces of industrial noises as heavy machinery in a manufactory create, others are synthesizer-based very deep sounds near the infrasonic frequences or a mixture of both. Some of these sounds are disturbing, you can feel them with your whole body. This can create fear... Most of these listeners are very young; most of them have never seen and heard a very heavy machine working inside a production hall, but most of them have heard very deep frequences at techno partys at weekend - its very interesting to study their reactions here - some were fascinated, others shocked.
