Petakh-Tikva is a city in Israel in the far south of the plains of Sharon, the northeastern suburbs of Tel Aviv. It is a fairly old Jewish settlement, founded in 1878; Its name is translated as “gates of hope.“ Petakh-Tikva was founded by Jews-from Belarus in 1878, and more precisely religious pioneers with Jerusalem, conducted Jehoshuya Stamphfere, Joel Moshe Salomon, Zerah Barnett and David Guttmann, and Rabban. It was the first modern Jewish agricultural settlement in the Ottoman Palestine, which has grown into one of the most densely populated urban centers in Israel. Initially intending to establish a new settlement in the valley of Achor, near Jericho, the pioneers bought the land in that outskirts.
