일본, 새해 첫날 규모 7.6 지진 북부 연안 쓰나미 경보 Breaking news from Japan. An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 7-point-6 hit west central Japan at PM prompting tsunami warnings along the west coast. According to NHK a powerful earthquake measuring a 7 on the Japanese scale — the strongest on that scale has triggered a major tsunami warning in the Noto region of Ishikawa prefecture. There authorities have warned of waves as high as 5 meters. According to the Japan Meteorological Agency tsunami warnings are also issued for neighboring areas including Niigata, Toyama and Yamagata prefectures.
