You might say that 455 is the most interesting locomotive on the Surfline. She has been to Las Vegas on the trial run of the Las Vegas Talgo. She was known as the “dirty nose unit“ due to the excessive paint wear down on the nose of the locomotive. Her K5LA horn used to has a characteristic squeel at the end of each honk. Athearn made an HO scale model of her. And now, she proudly wears an Operation Lifesaver Paint Scheme. This video is a tribute to 455 and her years on the Surf Line. Shots included are in order by year from oldest to newest, starting in the year 2004 and ending in December, 2008. Enjoy! Video ID #: 100
