The Bhutan Glory (Bhutanitis lidderdalii) is a spectacular butterfly that is endemic to the Eastern Himalaya, NE India and nearby mountain ranges. It occurs in mid-elevation evergreen forests, where its caterpillars depend on specific host plants for growth and survival. Because of its endemism and dependence on specialized habitats and larval hosts, it is particularly vulnerable to effects of climate change and habitat destruction.
