Federation of South Arabia - an organization of Arab states-emirates under the protectorate of Great Britain, which existed on the territory of modern Yemen in the 60s of the twentieth century. It was formed in 1962 after the British colony of Aden was transformed into the state of Aden and attached to the Federation of the Arab Emirates of the South. In 1966, the Federation of South Arabia gained full independence from Great Britain, and a year later, in 1967, it became part of the Yemeni People’s Democratic Republic, also known as South Yemen.
