The Second World War brought massive losses and grief. Countless battles took place all over the land, air and water. These days, there are not many places left where people can see the consequences of those battles. One of them is the Truk Lagoon in the Pacific Ocean. Here, in February 1944, American troops carried out Operation “Hailstone“ to destroy the 4th Imperial fleet of Japan. At the bottom of the lagoon, there are more than 50 ships of various purposes rested, and divers from all over the world come here to see the lost wartime flotilla with their own eyes.
