Guru Nanak’s Aarti is the first of five compositions contained in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Subsequent compositions were added by Sant Ravidas Ji, Sant Kabir Ji, Bhagat Dhannaji and Guru Gobind Singh Ji. This Aarti of Divine Wisdom is sung daily after recitation of Rehraas Sahib & Ardās. These poetic words of sheer gratitude and devotional praise for the creator, are Guru Nanak’s expression of love and awe of the wondrous beauty that surrounds us in nature and that which illuminates within us. This universal message conveys that the Oneness is shining continuously in the aura of its own greatness inside of all creation, and therefore that vast glory can be felt and experienced eternally.
