Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is reportedly upset and concerned about comments made during a statement by Vice President Kamala Harris after the two met in Washington DC on Thursday. The Times of Israel and the Jerusalem Post report via an Israeli official that there is concern her comments, which urged Netanyahu to end the war in Gaza, could potentially put a ceasefire and hostage release deal in jeopardy. After a 40-minute meeting with Bibi, Harris spoke for about six minutes to members of the news media, where she expressed that Israel has a right to defend itself and condemned the Hamas terror attack, as well as the kidnapping of hostages, more than 100 of which remain in captivity. During her remarks, Harris also said she would not stay silent on the deaths and suffering in Gaza amid the war, which is approaching the ten month mark.
