I fought hard to get here. This video is a visual representation of that. We all battle something. For me, it was an addiction to alcohol that, in the end, threatened to take my life. Sobriety is so much more than abstaining from the drink. It is about finding the courage to fight, coming to peace with the past, releasing the garbage, healing the trauma, and learning self love and forgiveness. It has been the most amazing journey marked by taking on some really tough work - the dark night of the soul - and coming out on the other side stronger, whole, and standing firm in my own power. This is freedom. I celebrated 2 years sober on November 10, 2020, just one day after the final shoot for this video. It was an absolute non-negotiable of mine to have my first music video clearly depict this portion
