2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport - Off Road And Track Review

The 2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport. This is a premium CUV from Land Rover, featuring a Turbo I4 producing 240 HP, which I’ll be comparing to the Buick Encore, Lexus NX, Mercedes GLA250, and Volvo V60 Cross Country. Starting with the drawbacks, the Land Rover is the most expensive of the group, has the worst fuel economy at 22 mpg combined, and is on the heavy side at just under 4000 lbs. That said, it’s a highly capable vehicle off-road, the journalists favorite winning the category for Premium CUVs against the other vehicles. It has a tow capacity up to 4400 lbs, the best rear legroom of the group, and the largest cargo space of the group. The 9 speed automatic transmission is matched with an abundance of off-road selectable features. This vehicle was tested as part of the 2015 Northwest Automotive Press Association’s Outdoor Activity Vehicle of the Year competition.
