A day after his State of the Union speech, U.S. President Joe Biden headed on Friday (March 8) to eastern Pennsylvania to kick off a tour of battleground states. As he was departing, Biden was asked by reporters about his comment overheard inside the House of Representatives chamber on Thursday evening in which he predicted a “come to Jesus“ conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Biden Netanyahu on the war in Gaza. ““I told him, 'Bibi,' and don't repeat this, but 'you and I are going to have a come to Jesus' meeting,“ Biden said, referring to Netanyahu by his nickname. “I'm on a hot mic here.“ “Come to Jesus“ is an American expression for having a blunt conversation.
