JAZZ IN IRAN 1 - Lloyd Miller on NIRTV in the 1970s with the Roger Hererra combo. Starting on piano, Lloyd Miller plays his composition Blue Rue written in Stockholm in 1960. He and the Hererra group play jazz standards with Miller also playing alto sax, flugelhorn, cello, valvebone and clarinet. Filipino jazzman Roger Hererra was the winner of a Downbeat Magazine best Asian bassist award and during the 1970s, his combo played at a luxury Tehran hotel. Other than Lloyd Miller, musicians include Rudy Sucgang, Johnny Lingasin, Roger Hererra, Using Vilanueva and Emado Trevino.
