Conductor - Paolo Carignani Director - Richard Jones Stephen Costello, Anita Hartig, Joyce El-Khory, Etienne Dupuis Teatro Real has created “Ópera en Corto” (opera in short), shortened versions of around 45 minutes, of works from the lyrical repertoire explained by the composer Francesca Caccini (1587-1641), recreated virtually. Led by the first woman to write an opera – also a singer, lutenist, poet and teacher – the Real offers an entertaining tour of the most popular operas, which can be broadcast in schools, institutes, universities, music and art teaching centres, hospitals and nursing homes. La Boheme is the first of the four titles included in the programme - the next one will be The Barber of Seville.
