Emily Woods was born in Brooklyn, US, and came to Europe to star in the musical Hair in Copenhagen, Denmark, before moving to Germany where she joined Les Humphries Singers. In 1979, Silver Convention's producer Michael Kunze signed her for his newly formed Karma label and released the album AK-SHUN which yielded two singles, the title track and a cover of Shocking Blue's Venus. A new song was released as a single in 1980, Dancin' Fever Never Dies. After her solo stint she ventured into theatre as well as being a night club manager for many years.
