The Army has removed the statement on their website of Princess Catherine appearing at the Trooping the Colour in June. The announcement on the UK Ministry of Defence’s website drew attention because the appearance would be the first official duty confirmed for her since she underwent abdominal surgery. The claim caused confusion as it had appeared on the website but was not confirmed by Kensington Palace. However tickets for the military spectacle were being sold for the event with a picture of the princess, including a line saying she would be attending. It appears that the army did not seek approval before publishing the page.
