The Kremlin has defended Russia's decision to arm local militias in Belgorod and Kursk regions bordering Ukraine. The volunteers were provided with anti-drone guns, assault rifles and off-road UAZ vehicles. Belgorod's militia has seven battalions of 3,000 personnel while Kursk has promised 300 militia units soon. This comes amid Ukraine's constant shelling of Russian border regions.
