Two years ago, when the company detailed its plans for Starship’s orbital launch debut, it confirmed that SpaceX had no intention of recovering the upper stage or Super Heavy booster assigned to Starship’s launch debut. Twelve months later, a SpaceX updated document surprisingly revealed details about the company’s plan for the first Starship booster ‘catch’ attempt. The whole world has since been looking forward to the most heartbreaking chopstick fly-catching ever. Sadly, when Starship was on the verge of its first orbital flight, SpaceX changed its plan again.
