Thousands took part in a march to mark the 78th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising, organized by a right-wing group in the Polish capital. The participants chanted, waved flags and lit flares, filling the air with thick smoke as they marched through the city’s streets. They also held a minute’s silence in memory of those killed during the uprising, which was an attempt by the Polish resistance to liberate Warsaw from German occupation.
