Extreme weather continues to affect India. On the evening of July 10, heavy rains hit Ahmedabad in the state of Gujarat. An average of 5 inches of rain fell in 4 hours. The highest rainfall of 12 inches fell in the urban area of Ellisbridge. There is literally no place left in Ahmedabad without water. The streets turned into rivers, the inhabitants were looking for safe places. There is chaos and numerous traffic jams on the roads, many vehicles are stuck in the water. Houses in low-lying areas were flooded up to their knees. Underpasses were closed to traffic. Schools and colleges were closed due to rain on Monday. There is no information about the victims yet.
