US Air Force F-22 Raptor is a fifth-generation fighter aircraft, american single-seat, twin-engine, stealth tactical fighter aircraft developed exclusively for the United States Air Force (USAF). The aircraft was designed primarily as an air superiority fighter, but also has ground attack, electronic warfare, and signal intelligence capabilities. The cost of one F-22 Raptor aircraft alone is an estimated $334 million which includes research and development (unit cost of $150 million). The Air Force originally wanted 700 F-22s to be produced but had to cancel production just shy of 200 because they were already over-budget. The flight cost per hour for an F-22 is roughly $70,000.
